Northshore Driving School has been established since 1989, delivering high quality driving lessons with professional, friendly driving instructors. Over the years, Northshore Driving School has developed a reputation for delivering exceptional service to clients and assisting young drivers build confidence behind the wheel so they can develop safe driving behaviours and obtain their driving licence.

Northshore Driving School Sydney offers professional, affordable driving lessons with our patient, calm instructors who are able to tailor learning to meet individual student requirements and needs. Both automatic and manual instructors are available in areas such as Mosman, Chatswood, Epping, Hornsby, Manly and all upper and lower Northshore suburbs as well as the Northern Beaches.

All instructors are Certificate IV level, qualified driving instructors who have extensive experience in the industry. Each instructor working for Northshore Driving School Sydney is accredited with the NSW Transport Roads & Maritime Services (RTA) and are able to customise training to suit individual needs. Two of Northshore Driving School’s senior instructors have more than 60 years experience combined. They, as well as each instructor, aims to assist young drivers create life long safe driving skills on the road.

Each driving lesson Sydney is aimed to educate learners on safe driving practices and develop low risk driving behaviours. Packages enables the instructors to cover the main components of low risk driving, including: vehicle control, speed management, road positioning, decision making and recognising/responding to hazards.

The structure of each driving class is adaptable depending on the individual need of students. For example, when teaching inexperienced learners the instructor will focus on building confidence and allowing them to become familiar with road rules. Driving classes for more experienced learners i.e. students preparing for their test, will be taught to manage low risk driving behaviours and fine-tuning in areas such as reverse parking, three-point turns and lane changing.

PVET Institute is a Registered Training Organisation, providing Certificate IV in Driving Instruction, a nationally recognised VET accredited course.

To become a qualified driving instructor you must hold a Certificate IV in Driving Instruction. Each potential driving instructor must go through an initial process with the RTA to obtain an eligibility letter. This process includes police and medical check, driver knowledge test and practical driving test. The potential driving instructor must have held their full NSW licence for a minimum of 3 years. Upon receiving the eligibility letter, applicants must obtain their Certificate IV in Driving Instruction.
