Trainer's Profile
PVET Institute is run by the director and a team of highly qualified approved trainers and assessors who bring valuable knowledge from their previous life and work experience. Many of them are highly professionals in their respective fields and PVET Institute is privileged to have them join us on our train
ing team. Their minimum qualification is Certificate IV in workplace assessment and training as well as education they have obtained in their profession.
Iain McLeod
Iain has a degree in marine engineering, and began his training experience in this field lecturing abroad for 3 years in marine engineering. Iain is also a qualified driving instructor and has been instructing for over 10 years. In addition to his engineering and driving instructor qualifications, Iain is also a qualified workplace trainer and assessor, and has been heavily involved in course preparation for PVET Institute.
Peter O'Neill
Peter O'Neill is a qualified and RTA approved driving instructor with extremely high communication, explanation and training skills. He has had 20 years of Army experience followed by employment with one of Australia's largest coach companies as the Senior Driver/Trainer. During his time in the coach industry, he was responsible for the initial and on-going training of drivers, the planning and implementation of training both in driving and commentary covering all parts of Australia. Peter has further completed a Train The Trainer Course, Certificate IV in Driving Instruction, Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training BSZ98 and Certificate in Workplace Assessment and Training TAA04. Peter also currently holds a Heavy Combination and Unrestricted Motorcycle Licence.
Peter Movsesian
Early in his career, Peter has worked in the fields of Electronic Engineering and computers. He has been production and sales manager in a number of Electronic and computer companies; among some of his strengths were in the area of staff training. In the late 1980's Peter moved from engineering, working fro an employer, to self-employment. His keen desire to continue in the areas of training led him to start a Driving School, hence he established North Shore Driving School, to train novice drivers. Over the years, the driving school expanded and for the need of quality trainers for his school, he sought to expand the driving school to include training for driving instructors.
Robert Kattan
Robert has a double degree in Mathematics and physics, a diploma in high school education 1992, a qualified motor mechanics since 1994. He has been a high school teacher since 1987.
Robert is currently holds certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training BSZ98, VET Assessor, and Certificate IV in Driving Instruction and is a qualified Driving Instructor and Trainer for Driving Instructor courses.
Mario Marial
Mario has been with our organisation for over 10 years. he is a very patient and trustworthy instructor and is ideally suited to nervous students. He is very familiar with the testing areas in Chatswood, Frenchs Forst and Hornsby as he has covered these areas for a number of years.
Benjamin Elmassian
Before working as a driving Instructor, Ben was in charge of customer relations and quality control checks at a panel shop, which was very demanding and required attention to detail in order to achieve perfection. Prior to that, Ben held a position as an administration manager for 6 years. Ben is a calm, enthusiastic instructor. He has a great sense of humour yet maintains the ability to conduct all lessons in a highly professional manner. In addition to this, he has a great eye for detail and teaching ability which makes him a valued and popular instructor.
