Driving Instructor Profiles

At Northshore driving school we ensure our calm, patient, friendly and professional driving instructors excel beyond the standards within the industry. Our team of highly qualified approved trainers and assessors have a minimum qualification of Certificate IV in workplace assessment and training, and have all had a wealth of education obtained from their experiences teaching on the road.

Iain (manual car)

Iain is an expert manual car instructor. He has a degree in marine engineering and has been a driving instructor for over 3 decades so has a wealth of experience teaching all types of learner drivers. He is a wonderful instructor with a calm, focused and structured approach to teaching. Ian specialises in the upper and lower suburbs of the North Shore and the Northern Beaches.

Adam (automatic car)

Adam has been with Northshore Driving School for well over a decade. Adam is ideally suited to nervous students due to his calm, patient and trustworthy nature. Due to his experience as a driving instructor in Sydney he is very familiar with the testing areas in Chatswood, Hornsby and Frenchs Forest. Adam specialises in the suburbs surrounding Hornsby down to Chatswood and up to Frenchs Forest.

Ben (Automatic car)

Ben has been with us for many years and boasts high referral numbers from his students. He is a friendly, enthusiastic and humorous character yet maintains the ability to conduct all lessons in a highly professional manner. In addition to this, he has a great eye for detail and is particularly observant when on the road. Ben specialises in the suburbs surrounding Mosman up to North Sydney, through to Chatswood and down towards Lane Cove and Ryde.

Jamie (Manual car)

Jamie is a very popular manual car driving instructor due to his enthusiasm, good nature and passion for teaching. With a smile always on his face and calm, friendly attitude, students will always enjoy his driving lessons. Jamie specialises in the surrounding suburbs of Parramatta up to Hornsby, down to Lane Cove and Chatswood.

Zoe (automatic car)

Zoe is a very professional instructor with the latest RTA approved driving instructor license and a background in the medical industry. Her gentle manner and confidence in her teaching provides a comfortable and relaxed learning environment for her students. She has an eye for detail and perfection that translates into her ability as a driving instructor and trainer. Zoe specialises in the surrounding suburbs of Castle Hill, Epping and Hornsby.

Nicolas Terry (automatic car)

Nick is an ex-Police Officer whom has completed 26 years’ service in both the UK and Australia. He has had an abundance of driving experience in different vehicles, including training in advanced Police driving and motorcycle riding techniques. He is a very professional instructor with a great skill for observation and hazard perception techniques. Nick specialises in a number of suburbs from Ryde through Chatswood and up to Hornsby, as well as the Northern Beaches and surrounding suburbs

Alexandra Terry (manual car)

Alex has been a driving trainer for 13 years in various organisations, including the UK Police Service. She also has tertiary qualifications in Psychology & training and assessment. She has a very friendly, welcoming and light-hearted nature, making her an ideal driving instructor. Alex specialises in a number of suburbs from Ryde through Chatswood and up to Hornsby, as well as the Northern Beaches and surrounding suburbs

Peter O’Neil (automatic car)

Peter O’Neil is a qualified and RTA approved driving instructor and his 20 years experience in the Army has developed extremely high communication, explanation and training skills. Peter has also completed a Train the Trainer Course, Certificate IV in Driving Instruction, Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training BSZ98 and Certificate in Workplace Assessment and Training TAA04. Peter specialises in the Northern Beaches including Neutral Bay and Mosman up through Manly to Palm Beach and Mona Vale.
